John Hennette, DDS
I knew from a very young age that I wanted to be a pediatric dentist after being inspired by my own family dentist. I loved seeing the impact he had on his community and the fulfilling service that filled his life, and I knew I wanted that too.
I have been very fortunate in providing dental health to the most vulnerable. I have never not looked forward to going to the office as every contact provides different challenges. While achieving 100% satisfaction from our families and staff is not realistic in life, it has always been my goal.
The greatest compliment is having been in practice long enough that we now have second and even third generation families trusting us with their most valuable members, their children, in providing their dental care.
Excellence in Education
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University, and then pursued my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. After that, I completed a certification program in Pediatric Dentistry at Riley Children's Hospital, where I gained invaluable experience in providing dental care to children of all ages, including those with special needs. In addition, I completed a fellowship program at Riley Children's Hospital, where I received specialized training in treating patients with cerebral palsy.
I am a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and am committed to providing the best possible care to my patients, and I continue to pursue continuing education and training to ensure that their oral health needs are met with the utmost care and precision. I strive to offer the most current and evidence-based information and treatment options to the families I serve, empowering parents to make informed decisions regarding their children's dental health.

Outside the Office
When I'm not at the office, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, including my wife Cindy, my son JT, and my daughter Kelsey, as well as my grand twins Hadley and Huxley. In addition to family time, I love being on the water, whether it's boating or fishing. I'm a big fan of IU Sports teams and enjoy watching their games. I also love spending time outdoors, doing yard work, and participating in trivia events.
I have a deep love for reading and learning, and I make sure to find time to pursue my passions outside of my professional life. At home, I share my space with Cali, a Great Pyrenees, as well as two cats - one indoor and one outdoor.
A Focus on Community
I am a community-minded dentist with a strong passion for giving back. I’m involved in various charitable organizations such as Give Kids a Smile Program locally (have been a participant for 20+ years), National Night Outs, and Santa Drop. I have been available to provide help to many families with the assistance of the county schools nursing staffs. I also have a special interest in supporting the Humane Society of Putnam County.
